The Judicial Inquiry Commission has considered your request for an opinion concerning
whether the employment of a judge’s daughter as a teacher by a local board of
education may create a conflict of interest respecting the judge’s trying cases to which
the school board is a party. You further state that the judge has several cases in which
the school board is a party, some of which involve tenure, but most of which are of a
contract nature.
